Timbertech Deck with Built-in Outdoor Storage in Wellesley, MA

Our new Wellesley client wanted to upgrade their existing deck to make the space more beautiful and comfortable for entertaining. The original footings were still in great condition- allowing our team to demolish the railings, decking, trim, lattice and stair stringers. PVC lattice trim with an access door was installed below the deck to create additional storage space. This allows our clients to utilize that space under the deck, rather than waste it. Timbertech decking in Espresso from the Legacy Collection replaced the previously dated, deteriorating boards. This material provides durability, stain resistance, and is impermeable to moisture damage which  allows for easy low maintenance care. To achieve a more modern design, we ditched the original railing system for the Westbury VertiCable aluminum railing system with a stainless steel cable infill. 

The use of ambient lighting is a feature that not only highlights the characteristics of the entertainment space, but allows for the client to take advantage of the space no matter the time of day or season! Deck lighting was installed under the front of each stair tread leading up to the landing. Additionally, LED path lights were installed in the surrounding landscaping to highlight the stone patio and firepit seating area.
