With everyone spending more time at home these days, it’s more important now than ever to create an atmosphere suitable for our new makeshift home offices, increased zoom meetings, and even our children’s classrooms. For these repeat clients, upgrading their current outdoor space to be a functional gathering space and extension of their indoor living was on the top of their list.
This Waban home’s tired and deteriorating deck needed a major overhaul. The ground level deck had seen better days, needing to be completely demolished in order to provide a safe and up-to-code outdoor gathering space for our clients. Our TCC team completely removed the old deck boards, trim and framing. Keeping the original size and shape, pressure treated framing was used to create the structure on top of the new 12” diameter concrete footings. Timbertech Azek decking in the color Mahogany from the Vintage Collection was installed on this spacious 14×15 deck. This incredibly durable material is scratch resistant, maintenance free and impermeable to water damage, all while achieving natural wood aesthetics. Lastly, Timbertech Premier Collection railing with composite balusters and post caps were installed to follow suit with the deckings durability and appeal.
