Before Tom Curren Arrived:

These homeowners were new clients of Tom Curren Companies after receiving one of our promotional postcards for exterior painting. Knowing that we had done so many jobs in the Needham area, they decided to hire us to turn their 1870’s historical landmark into a more modern and bright home. Before any work was completed we had to make the necessary repairs and provide prep work as the home’s original exterior had lead paint. That meant that all of our crews had to follow EPA safe precautions as lead paint is harmful to our lungs. That didn’t stop us from giving their home all of the TLC it needed especially since our crews are highly trained to do this type of exterior project.

Our Process:

Before we begin any prep work or scraping, our crews thoroughly hand wash the outside of the home to remove any dirt and debris. We then set up and clean to EPA standards so no paint chips or debris of lead paint are contaminating the area of the recently washed siding. The feather scraping of all old paint begins following the wash and then a coast of primer is added to lock in the top coat. Two coats of Benjamin Moore’s White Dove is applied to all siding, trim and window casings. We also included the front porch and railings in this homeowner’s job so that was painted with two coats as well. Three doors and the side bulkhead were painted with two finished coats to match the newly painted exterior.

After rejuvenating this historic home, the homeowners were so thrilled they hired us again to complete an interior paint job. The inside of this home now matched the outside’s clean and flawless image. We hope to continue our working relationship with these happy clients the next time they have a home improvement project!
