Before Tom Curren Arrived: 

Our new Wellesley client wanted to upgrade their existing deck to make the space more beautiful and comfortable for entertaining. There’s nothing our team loves more than creating new outdoor living spaces at our client’s homes- we started the project right away!

Our Process:

The original footings were still in great condition- which allowed our team to only demolish the railings, decking, trim, stairs and lattice. PVC lattice trim with an access door was moved to the back of the deck to create additional storage space. This allows our clients to utilize that space under the deck, rather than waste it. Timbertech decking from the Legacy Collection in Espresso replaced the previously outdated, deteriorating boards. This material provides durability, stain resistance, and protects against moisture damage which  allows for easy, low maintenance care. To achieve a more modern design, we removed the original railing system for the Westbury VertiCable aluminum railing with a stainless steel cable infill. Deck lighting was installed under the front of each stair tread leading up to the landing, along with newly installed LED path lights in the surrounding landscaping to highlight the stone patio and firepit seating area.
