Cabinet Refinishing in Cambridge, MA
Final Project Details:
Project Details: Cabinet Painting
Paint Color: Benjamin Moore
Town: Cambridge, MA
Before Tom Curren Arrived:
Being a long term client of Tom Curren Companies, this Cambridge homeowner had already done several projects with us so she knew exactly how we worked and was familiar with how our crews run their jobs. Not only has this client done several projects with us, but she owns multiple rental properties in the area and we have done work in almost all of them! This time she was requesting a refinishing of her cabinets to give them a more up to date feel which will give them a fresher look in the home. This process is one of the easiest ways to give your kitchen or study a facelift without breaking the bank!
Our Process:
Though painting cabinets may seem similar to painting walls or ceilings, it is actually quite different. Having experienced crews who are able to perform the technique is of the utmost importance. We begin by removing all drawers and door front to prep with a light sand and is then followed by one coat of primer. Three to six coats of Benjamin Moore’s Gentleman Grey were then applied with a light sand in between each coat to get the perfect smooth finish. It takes an experienced painter to be able to refinish cabinets in this manner and an untrained painter can easily damage the wood finish and end up becoming costly to the client.
After Tom Curren Left:
The finished project looks breathtaking and completely changed the vibe of a room. The new cabinets gave the room a more masculine feel with a modern and edgy touch. This homeowner has since done multiple projects with us in her other residences and we hope to continue satisfying her home renovation needs!
